Sometimes I like to paint fragments of the male figure as opposed to the whole body. To me this tightens the image somewhat and focuses the viewers attention to key points. St Sebastian, as you may well know is a favourite subject of mine and here I pay homage to the chiarascuro of the great Caravaggio
